08:13 AM ET 02.27 | A year removed from making headlines with Tim Tebow, the Broncos may again be looking to select a quarterback in the draft. There are three draftable quarterbacks who are ready to play in the NFL on Day 1. ... [Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III] will be long gone by the time the Broncos select with their No. 25 overall draft pick. But they did meet with [Brandon Weeden], the Oklahoma State product and former New York Yankees' top prospect. The Broncos were extremely impressed with Weeden during a 15-minute interview this week. He turns 29 in October which is why he's not considered a top 3 QB prospect even though he's the second best pure passer to Luck. They also came away feeling good about Arizona State Brock Osweiler.

Tebow better make a wish to his Invisible Sky Friend that Denver does not draft a real QB, as opposed to a half back who can sometimes throw.

Probably not for every offensive snap.

Denver can be realistic. The pick 25th. They're not going to get an instant franchise quarterback in that position. But, they need to come away with at least a decent backup.

Here is the problem:
Either the back up has to be able to run the same offense/style as Tebow, or, you need to have two offensive systems and players that can play both types.
Not that easy to do. If Tebow goes out then you have to have a whole new game plan. The downside to a Tebow type QB. ( among the fact when you fall behind it is not easy to catch up).

True enough 50 but it's not like there's a shortage of qbs who play in the spread option formation in the college ranks

Osweiler is very tall. Is he also big and solid, and can he run like Tebow? If so, he might be plug-and-play in the Tebow-oriented offense.

The receivers might have trouble adjusting to a tight spiral into their hands, though.

Draft a Fullback that can Throw!!! And make sure he's left handed, that will please everybody!!!

Based on his age, Weeden could be there in the 3rd round, and that would make sense for the Broncos. Signing a veteran QB to compete would make even more sense, yet who in their right mind would want to sign onto that media mess...

Why Osweiler? Cause he's tall? The guy didn't really do anything in college.

Whoever they draft, at whatever position should just refuse to play for Denver. Every year, for as long as Elway is there. Be fitting IMO.

Time Magazine sure loves Tebow

I feel sorry for the QB from Boise St. Moore.- the winningest QB in collegiate history and because of his height no one is talking about him.
