Front-runner for St. Louis' No. 2 pick

08:03 AM ET 02.28 | In some regard, it should come as little surprise that the Rams are open to offers for the No. 2 pick. As to what it will take for someone to move up to No. 2, that remains to be seen. It's all speculation at this point. The Rams have had very preliminary discussions with Cleveland (at No. 4), Washington (at No. 6), and Miami (at No. 8), as well as some quarterback-needy teams outside the top 10. Nothing resembling an offer has been made on either side of the fence. ... For now, the early front-runner for Griffin probably is Washington, in large part because of the good relationship between team executives (Washington's Bruce Allen and Demoff) and coaches (Jeff Fisher and Washington's Mike Shanahan).

Yeah, I'm sure St. Louis will give the 'Skins a discount because they're all such great friends. Cleveland is in the driver's seat simply because they have more high picks in the coming draft to offer. Wahsington will have to stretch their offer over a longer timeframe.

Over / under of daily Rams pick speculation = 4.

I'll take the over.

And what must RG3 be thinking about these possibilities.

February 28, 2012  08:22 AM ET

I'm gonna laugh if Indy passes on Andrew Luck and takes RG3 with the first pick.

February 28, 2012  08:23 AM ET

Would the Lambs rather see RG3 in the AFC? Or could they give a rat's behind about where he ends up?

February 28, 2012  08:24 AM ET

Do it Skins, so I can know it's REAL!!

4th quarter... Down by 23... Cooley catches an 8 yard pass for a Redskins 1st down.

Crowd chants, "Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooleeeeeeey!!!"

Idiots.

Aren't we due for a Peyton Manning thread?

Maybe the Rams offer is Bradford to the Redskins for their one pick and they take Griffin.
That is what I would do. Now that would be a story.

Here's hoping the Redskins go way overboard on moving up to #2. Danny Snyder is a tool, he wields a limp wrist when making decisions for the "betterment" of the team. I predict Danny Boi sends this years first, second and fourth round picks plus 2013 and 2014 #1 picks. It really is a shame when an owner has carte blanche authority to run this storied franchise into the ground - where is Pete Rozelle when you need him, or maybe the ghost of Pete Rozelle ;)

And I'm running away with Kate Upton.

...but that's also just speculation at this point.

I'm hoping for a T.O. thread about how him getting pounded into the boards during his first IFL game.

He must be so happy these days.

So true, why would the Rams want to wait??
