08:04 AM ET 02.29 | Year 1 in the NBA conjures up memories of another freshman season for Jimmer Fredette. Despite scoring five points against the Jazz during the first half Tuesday, the Sacramento Kings rookie guard also struggled to find a rhythm and appeared overmatched as soon as he entered the contest. The limitations highlighted Fredette's recent struggles, which have seen the No. 10 overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft fall to the bottom of the Kings' rotation. "It's not anything new for me. As far as my freshman year at BYU, it was pretty similar. So it's not a new story or anything," said Fredette, who entered Tuesday's game averaging 8 points, 1.9 assists and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 37.5 percent from the field.

He went from being the man at BYU to a kid coming off the bench at Sacramento.

the kings will give up on him and he will flourish as a shooter coming off the bench for somebody else.

Oh yeah his jumper may still be in tact but come on jgb--u know hoops. No coach in the A will let you shoot from 29 feet on the regular. LOL...he cant penetrate past the guards in the league, I watched quite a few of his games so I'm not just speaking outta my dreads (haha). I see Isiah Thomas has no problem getting his points and shots off on that same dysfunctional team with no direction or leadership...either you can play or you cant, Im going with the latter on Jimmer. Hes a more diesel JJ Redick, period.
Ps. Im a HUGE DUKE fan so its not a diss, its just real

Just as I predicted.....i actually wish the best for the kid but I just cant see him becoming worthy of the place he was selected. If he came out this year I dont know if he goes first round with all the talent in this upcoming draft

Kings made the mistake of drafting him way to high "NR 10", whoever made that decision should be FIRED!!!! The guy at best my possible one day be a end of the bench 3 pt specialist, he is to slow and weak to be a point and too short/slow to be a SG. In the perfect system, he could be a bench player that can hit some 3's. Bottomline: BUST.

Wesley Johnson was a stud at Syracuse, same as Jimmer at BYU, they're both struggling as their game doesn't fit the systems they were drafted into... But when does a player make the decision to just play? The great thing about Lin, is that he's been afforded the chance to play in three different pro systems to finally succeed in NY.... Jimmer may not get that chance until later on, a la JJ Reddick.
