Cousins on the rise

08:01 AM ET 02.29 | Prior to his combine showing, Kirk Cousins barely registered among a second tier of QBs, but he may have made himself quite a bit of money during his time in Indianapolis. Cousins was often dinged for poor decisions during his collegiate career, but he made a great choice to work with Chris Weinke at IMG pre-draft. Cousins was a standout at the Senior Bowl, and his performance during Sunday's QB/WR drills was extremely impressive. He zipped the ball on every throw to every route, showed a new economy of motion, and will leave Indianapolis with a lot of buzz. If he repeats it at his Pro Day, Cousins could be a solid second-round pick.

Kissin' Cousins? Incest is OK, as long as you keep it in the family.

"...and will leave Indianapolis with a lot of buzz." Unlike Stephen Garcia who just left the combine "buzzed".

It's all downhill at the QB position once Luck and RGlll are off the board at #1 and #2.

The fall off is dramatic. I do think Brandon Weeden is the best of the rest though, I think he would surely be a mid to late 1st if it were for his age. Tannehill doesn't impress me and Osweiler really blew it by not working out at the Combine (I mean seriously dude?). Cousins, I don't know, he looked very mediocre in college though.

I saw alot of Cousins play at MSU, against quality college opposition...he lit up a number of teams in the Big Ten... has got a decent arm.... wouldn't be the first time an unheralded QB from MI made an impact............

Brady played for Michigan not Michigan State, maybe they should compare Mr Cousins to Mr Johnson as in Majic?

How can anyone say that? Look at the Brady's and Montana's, those gems found in the lower rounds. Plus look at all the number 1 busts. It's more a guessing game then a science.
