A new celebration at Kansas: Enjoyment

08:14 AM ET 02.29 | There was a time earlier this season that the moment seemed a longshot. Winning the Big 12 title demanded all the energy Kansas could muster, leaving little for the celebration. Coach Bill Self gathered the team for a few words in the locker room. A Big 12 official emerged with the trophy, followed by some half-hearted jumping. It was fairly tame, as celebrations go, but there was a moment of clarity amid the fatigue. "Sometimes at Kansas, because we win so much, winning becomes a relief as opposed to jubilation," Self told his team. "I want you guys to be excited about this." ... The trophy celebration capped three exhausting days, starting with the emotional wringer of overtime against Missouri.
