Briere demoted, promoted all in one game

Didn't see the hit, but it sounds like Vlasic may be in a real pickle.

Good game last night. Thought that the Flyers carried the action most of the time. Both goalies made great saves.....

I can't see how you can blame Bryz for that loss (although I'm sure Yote's fans had fun). Tough for any goalie to win when you don't score a goal.

Heading for the jet fuel, my big wet spot would have put that fire out all by myself.

I watched the game. I would be highly surprised if a suspension resulted from the hit. Briere put himself in a very dangerous condition and Vlasic had no time to react. Both guys going for the puck in the corner and Briere decides to stop about 4-5 feet short of the boards and brace himself into Vlasic. Since Briere is 3 feet tall he lost the collision and ended up going head first into the boards.

Vlasic's comment on the hit:

"He stopped right into me, and my momentum carried me forward," Vlasic said. "The ref told me that he saw it that way. I'm going there to get the puck, he turned into me and he got the worst of it."

that article has a video with the hit on it. There was no youtube yet. This is boarding, plain and simple. I can't believe the refs didn't make any call at all on the play. I swear officiating in this league is getting to WWE levels of credibility. If someone in Orange and Black had done that exact hit, they would definitely be looking at a suspension. Cripes we got guys getting 3 game suspensions for charging minors that weren't even head shots, but Le Hobbit goes headfirst into the boards and its <crickets>.
