Broncos might wait for Moore

08:03 AM ET 03.01 | Denver reportedly likes both Brandon Weeden and Brock Osweiler, but the fact it picks so late in the draft order may have more to do with a quarterback selection at the annual talent grab. If the Broncos pick more for need, they could wait until perhaps the third, fourth or fifth rounds where Boise State's Kellen Moore can be had. Moore is good. Really good. And the Broncos know it. There was talk Moore would measure in at 5-foot-10 at the combine but the fact he came in at even 6-foot-0 figures to improve his draft stock by at least a round. Thanks to Drew Brees and Michael Vick, 6-foot is the minimum standing for quarterbacks. NFL scouts, coaches and executives aren't ready to go below 6-foot-0.

That soap opera in Denver is a real test for a rookie QB. If you can function under that spotlight, you might just be the man.

They won their division and a playoff game. Most of their starters are returning. And they are in complete disarray.

Soap opera indeed.

Less is Moore?

Wait, so Denver might be interested on a pocket passer? An accurate thrower? Someone with QB smarts? So why did they waist a pick on the halfback who sometimes passes?

If the Broncos draft a QB, he's immediately the villain in the Tebow melodrama. That's about as national as a national football topic gets.

Egad! Will he have a stovepipe hat? Will he have a handlebar mustache? Will he tie Little Nell to the railroad tracks?

Fear not! Timmy Do-Right will save her!

They can lay that one on Josh McDaniels.

Elway is a jerk.

Who could ask for anything Moore?

Bingo.

Why draft a QB when your total offensive play set can be put on a 5 by 7 index card?
Just draft a RB who can throw the option pass.

If he does well in Denver they could start a new pose craze: Moore-ing, in which you tie yourself to a dock.

How about we coin a new phrase???

Moore'd: One whom is drafted only to be scorned and maligned but the fans and media, never to start and, ultimately, fade to black ... see Brady Quinn ;]

I'd like to devleop this story ....Kellen Moore is pro choice on abortion, believes in same sex marriage, and thought Passion of the Christ was a waste of his time

You think they were making the playoffs without Tebow?

Yet they're not confident enough in his ability to take them to the next level?
