Irving enough to save the franchise?

08:06 AM ET 03.01 | With Magic Johnson in the stands, Jeremy Lin and Kyrie Irving put on point guard show -- ultimately won to the tune of 120-103 by the Knicks. While Lin came out of nowhere to save the Knicks' season, Irving came out of Duke, not exactly nowhere. Everyone in America knew him, even if he played only 11 games for Mike Krzyzewski, due to injuries. It's early, but Irving, the only Cav to score more than 10 points after halftime, might turn out to be good enough to save the franchise. You might remember, the Cavs were floundering amid the ashes after LeBron James left for Miami in the summer of 2010. They won the draft lottery last May and found a playmaker who is part Kidd, part Chris Paul, and part Baron Davis.

Kyrie was the only one that came out to play the second half. I like the kid a lot, so far, so good.

QUOTE(#6):

He will be a very solid nba pg.....But the cavs issue is their owner, big FAs wnt want to come because of him so unless they keep hitting tje jackpiy in the lottery, they will be a lilited teamAnd their current roster going forward is not that good.other than irving and twan- who is having a good year, but oldWho on this team could start for a legit team?

Andy was having a great year until he got injured.

The Cavs are in a great situation, they have their PG of the future and a solid 4 in Andy. Jamison is most likely going to be moved by the deadline and with the season he is having and his expiring contract he is going to be pursued by a few teams.

Given the amount of ping pong balls they will have in the lottery their chances are very good to land another solid player. I am pretty sure that potential FA's don't mind what Dan said because in the end its all about the dollar!

Yes...he is very good , and has impressed me now that I have seen him play.....he will be a great lead guard for you guys

Your man Lin is having a great start for the Knicks and is fun to watch!

I have made it a point to watch as many knicks games as I can when the Cavs are not on and he's very exciting.
