From what I have read, GS thinks their 'assets' are worth more than they actually are, so them finding a trading partner is tough

They must not watch their own team.

Having been a former season ticket holder for 10 seasons---& for following the team since the early 70's when they had the Great Rick Barry---I can only say--No matter the trades, draft picks, choice for the new Head Coach,GM etc...it will all turn out wrong, & they will continue to be the laughing stock of the NBA...

March 4, 2012  12:25 PM ET

And then THIS : Golden State's own 2012 1st round pick to Utah via New Jersey (top 7 protected in the 2012 Draft, top 7 protected in 2013, and top 6 protected in the 2014 Draft).

However, if Utah via NJ has not yet received this first round pick by the 2014 draft, then Utah via New Jersey shall instead receive: Golden State's own 2014 2nd round pick and Golden State's own 2016 2nd round pick.

so right now GSW at 14-19 ... it would 10th Pick and UTAH's ...

March 4, 2012  12:27 PM ET

GSW traded it to NJ for a player Nellie cut before the End of the season in 2008 ...

NJ traded to Utah, as part of the D-Will trade ...

As a Bulls fan I would take Ellis off their hands for cheap. If they are willing to take back expiring contracts like Scal and Lucas plus Hamilton, korver and maybe through in Charlettes pick... But I doubt that's enough and anything more is too much.

Did GS call MJ about any of the Bobcats' "assets"? The dook experiment (henderthug and spaghetti) has FAILED in Charlotte big time. Maybe the G.O.A.T. can find a sucker to take them off his payroll before the trade deadline.

The Bobcats are the bottom-feeder of the association. Jordan's yes men have done him and the city of Charlotte a disservice.

Amazing how a player with Jordan's on courts genius--can go so idiotic when it comes to picking talent...Amazing...

they hired a guy that has never coached at any level

It's all about the talent. Look at Miami, their current head coach was originally their video tech. With Golden State's roster he wouldn' t be 28-8. Give Mark Jackson, Lebron, Wade and Bosh and I bet he has a winning record.

Look at Boston as Doc Rivers before he Got KG and Ray Allen. He had a losing record and everyone wanted to have him fired. They signed KG and Allen and won an NBA Title and now he is a Great Coach. You are only as good at your talent.

Phil Jackson won all those titles because he had 4 of the greatest players of all time. MJ, Pippen, Shaw, and Kobe. I'd like to see him go win an NBA Title with Charlotte's Roster. Not in a million years.

They do have the stench of inevitable failure, don't they. Rather than waiting to see which exciting move comes next, it's what boneheaded ill conceived travesty comes next. We used to at least be able to point to the Clippers... So much needs to change... and time's passing.
