08:16 AM ET 03.07 | Though he's not exactly making a media blitz part of his spring training experience, Yu Darvish may be doing something more important. [Darvish] has made himself right at home with his new teammates, with the manager, with the coaching staff, and with all clubhouse staffers. You know Yu is part of the team when his fellow pitchers were hooting at him in bunt-fielding drills on Tuesday morning. ... "Yu wants to talk English with you all the time," said pitcher Derek Holland. "He wants to learn it fast. But what you've got to like is he's also trying to learn Spanish at the same time. Fitting in has been easy for him. We've got a great clubhouse anyway when it comes to that. But Yu was an immediate fit here."

That's his contribution so far, and it was probably worth his price tag. Barely... It remains to be seen whether or not he has any bullets left in that surgically-repaired arm. We'll know by Allstar break.

Darvish similarly should put up some great numbers in his first few years. Long run? It's a cr@pshoot.

It's going to be fun for the most part watching him play here in America this year. The only exceptions will be those days that he plays my team.

Finally - a player interested in fitting into the team - instead of the team having to make accommodations for him....

Yeah - that's definately a positive.

With all this hype about him, without having done anything in the Major Leagues yet, you would think he is the next coming of Syd Finch ;)

What Yu see is what Yu'll get.

By all accounts, a classy guy. Should be a good fit in a quality organization.
