08:10 AM ET 03.08 | Is there a Wallace Touch? Four months after picking up Rasheed Wallace in 2004, Detroit won a championship. In its only season with Wallace, Boston was on the brink of a title two years ago before faltering late in Game 7 of the Finals against the Lakers. Could Wallace end up being a final-piece guy for Miami? The 6-foot-10 center-forward, who last played in the NBA during that 2009-10 season with the Celtics, worked out for the Heat last week in Miami. A source close to the situation said Wednesday that Wallace still hasn't decided whether to return to the NBA, but would weigh any possible Heat offer. "It's something he may consider," said the source.

Unless the Heat are looking for someone to make sure the bench doesn't get up and walk away, I don't get this one.

The Heat have all the pieces they need. It's just time to seal the deal. LBJ, D Wade, and Bosh; along with a solid bench. If they don't win this year, OH BOY!

Heat doesnt need Wallace, but if they really want him, then dump J.Howard and get Wallace

Lol....sheed is completely done....not much left in the tank....plus wasn't the lakers interested in him first....

Easy, the loss to the Lakers on Sunday exposed the Heat lack of big men against a team with quality bigs. Adding Sheed isn't really going to hurt them at all but it gives them another 6 fouls to use on say Howard, Bynum, Gasol, and others.

The Heat added Damp last season, how did they work out? If the Heat want a ring, then Riley better add Rasheed to the roster. He has the pedigree and toughness needed to win a championship.

It is difficult to imagine them not making the finals again this year. I really like Chicago and think they have a solid chance of beating Miami, but they are going to have to show me something before I believe they are the favorites and it will likely have to be actually beating Miami in the playoffs.
