08:22 AM ET 03.08 | In the wake of a dispiriting loss to Detroit, Los Angeles collapsed against Washington. [Andrew Bynum tried to take the blame by announcing] after the 106-101 loss to the lowly Wizards that "I was kind of loafing around and having a good time, and it caught up." The Lakers' problems, however, run far deeper than Bynum's effort level in the team's loss to the Wizards, according to sources close to the situation. ... [Sources] told ESPNLosAngeles.com this week that there is growing concern among some Lakers players as to whether first-year coach Mike Brown and his staff have the X-and-O wherewithal to fix a Lakers offense that is averaging its lowest per-game point total (94) since before the advent of the 24-second shot clock.

They could have won last night's game if Bynum did not make that stupid pass to Kobe in the paint, and if he could hold on to that last rebound. Anyway coach Brown should have made his adjustment when Roger mason was starting to catch fire

This is not a big deal. To the Lakers it was a preseason game but for Washington it's their NBA final... so yeah... not a big deal. Lakers were built for the post season and I expect them to excel in there... with a new coach and no camp of course sh!!t like this will happen. I can only hope Lakers stay smart about the situation and not let it bother them.... and no I'm not jumping ship. I'm still a Knick fan but I've given hope on this season because we have Melo... he's not a team guy. I will gladly trade him to Denver to get Gallo and Chandler back!

Losing back-to-back to the Pistons and Washington will definitely cause speculation like this.

Right..when they beat MIA its bc Kobe was so brilliant but when they lose to WASH its bc the coach is clueless. Ok, I get it now..
