Sorry, Tebow fans: Broncos interested in Manning

The Broncos may be considered the longest of long shots to sign Manning, a surefire Hall of Fame quarterback who is expected to have at least six other teams pursue him despite his significant health risk. But the Broncos are expected to place a phone call to Manning's agent, Tom Condon, to gauge their chances, according to an NFL source close to the situation. If Manning's contract can be structured so that the team would be protected in case Manning's troublesome neck becomes an issue, the Broncos could well be players. In Pat Bowlen, the Broncos have an owner who said after a second-round playoff loss at New England: "Not a bad season but not a great season, either. I want a great season."

You'd have to be a complete moron to not recognize Elway's previous support of Tebow as the dreaded "vote of confidence" that is usually followed by replacing the player...sorry Tebow and Broncos fans that like Tebow (that's contradictory, isn't it? how can you like the Broncos and still want such a crappy QB to lead your team? That's like saying that you love the Pats but would like to see Ryan Leaf as the QB instead of someone that will actually win games like Brady)
