09:07 AM ET 03.08 | Yes, there was more to Don Cherry's recent rant. Turns out part of what set [Cherry] off Saturday night was that his old friend and Coach's Corner partner Ron MacLean had been lumped in with him -- the two became one in complaints from Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke to the CBC. "I didn't like it," Cherry said of his 26-year Coach's Corner partner being involved in Burke "going behind our backs to our bosses" to tell the CBC they "should get rid of Cherry and MacLean." Say it ain't so. For his part, MacLean confirmed that Burke did indeed go to their superiors. "I don't think it was as much to get us fired as much as he wanted to see us muzzled, which is ridiculous," MacLean said.

He's just mad that Grapes was right. How low and shady is it that he goes to their bosses? Why not go talk to them if you have a problem with it? Grapes, I would imagine, is not a hard guy to find...

No, he won't. He doesn't have the gonads for a face to face with Grapes and/or MacLean. He's at his best when he's going behind people's backs whining to the bosses. He's the kid everybody used to hate in grade school because he was running to the teacher to tattle on them all the time.
