Not even Howard knows what he wants

08:06 AM ET 03.09 | Before Thursday's game in Chicago, Dwight Howard told reporters he wanted to be "that guy" who takes the last shot. He also has said over and over that he just wants to win. The truth is, Howard has no idea what he wants. He's like a little kid, dreaming big. Everything looks good, as long as everyone likes him. ... "We just have to keep playing like this, night in and night out," Howard said after [beating the Bulls], "and we'll have a good chance at contending for a championship at the end of the season." Let's go over this again: Howard thinks he can win in Orlando. And he's The Man in Orlando. And he'll get more money in Orlando. So why does he want to leave? If the Magic are going to trade him, they've got a week to do it.

It's time for me to start working on my subliminal texting with this young man.

He sounds like exactly what Lebron did in Cleveland with only difference being that Superman has told the franchise he wants out. Orlando's management will be stupid to fall for that... trade him now!

Exactly. What makes DH think he can walk into a contender and become the man? They're contenders because they already have a 'the man'. He should just stay where he is. I mean, even if he went to Dallas with DWill. Would the Mavs rather he take the last shot over Dirk or DWill? Not when a Hack-a-Dwight exists!

Dwight had 29 pts 18 boards and 3 blocks last night in Chicago. Nice night of work. Obviously still focused in spite of the media circus. Nice job big fella!

So then...what happened here in Charlotte the other day?? You guys were ahead by 20 only to lose by 16? Sorry but NO team should lose to the Bobcats by 16...especially not a team that wants to be considered top tier

Whats up Zig..

Nah man read it again..they were up 20 and lost by 16...good teams dont do that. Sure they may lose to bad teams every now and then but not like that. And Howard was outplayed by the 19 yr old Congan sensation- Bismack Byombo

If Howard wants to be 'that guy' that takes the last shot in a game he better learn how to shoot free throws. They are called free for a reason!

Exactly. Got to hand it to the Orlando brass though as they are holding their cards pretty tight. My guess is there will a bidding war between whatever teams are on 'the short list' and Orlando will either take it or leave it. Question: Is Dwight willing to a consider a lesser contract just to get out of Orlando? As an NBA fan it will be interesting to see who breaks during the FA period within this scenario.
