O'Brien may be the answer at Wisconsin

08:18 AM ET 03.09 | Life after the Russell Wilson era, short as it was, hasn't come with much promise at Wisconsin. Not only are the Badgers getting acclimated to a new offensive staff, but Bret Bielema's squad has major issues under center after it was revealed that potential new starting quarterback Jon Budmayr would miss spring practice due to a nerve in his right elbow not properly healing. In addition, freshman Bart Houston has been knocked out of spring drills because he needs surgery on his right throwing arm. ... With so much uncertainty and a lack of experience at quarterback, former Maryland quarterback Danny O'Brien would be a tremendous addition for this football team and new offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

And since there aren't any whisky fans out here, UTx gets a commit from the TE they wanted, 4* Smythe.

Lawdy, I hope Wisconsin isn't going for the rent-a-QB mode year in and year out. Yes, it's worked for Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. But every other attempt has blown up (re: Houston Nutt) or just ended up with someone riding pine.

Time for Bulimia to go to the Wildcat (no, not your Wildcat, O-6). Wisky passing the ball is just a sham anyway.

It's too cold up there to bother with catching passes.

Marve pulled off some heroics at Purdue after transferring from his original choice. (Sorry for bringing him up, SVT.)

The only issue is this kid does not seem to be anywhere near as good as Wilson. If he is a lot better than WISC's other options that says something about how they recruit there.
