09:06 AM ET 03.09 | Good news, Red Wings fans. Pavel Datsyuk would have loved to get a little break before the playoffs, but not this way. There Datsyuk was after Thursday's practice, his first since having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Feb. 21, and this was anything but a break. "Practice and workouts," said Datsyuk, who appears on schedule to return next week during a three-game California trip. "I have to work. It feels good, nice to come back skating with teammates." Datsyuk wasn't the only injured player eyeing a return next week. Captain Nicklas Lidstrom (deep ankle bruise) skated on his own for the first time since getting hit with a puck Feb. 25. Neither player will be in [Friday's] lineup against the Kings.

A thread about injured players returning and they're not named Crosby? Those solar flares have really ****ed things up.

They can rest during the Summer .... after they win the Stanley Cup! ;-)

Unless you're an Edmonton Oiler! They got their butts handed to them by the equally inept Montreal Canadians.

It sure looked like the Oilers were playing to secure that second overall pick last night. They manage to beat the big boys but always come up short when facing the teams that are trying to wrest that #2 pick from them.

Really! I mean they are 4 points behind St. Louis for the Presidents trophy. That is totally unacceptable. LOL

Anything to get Hudler off the point on the PP. Good lord.

They had a chance to go undefeated. That is unacceptable by us Red Wings fans!

Ain't that the truth..

It'll be good to put a full team back on the ice again. Trying to play in the NHL with a deck missing a couple of aces is tough. Maybe now the Wings can show a double meld, pull in a grand slam, and rake in the pot with a full house!

You don't know what it's like to be without your star player. It's so trying for us!

Maybe watching just a tad too much poker? ;-)
