07:19 AM ET 03.10 | Talks between the Lakers and Rockets about revisiting a trade for Pau Gasol continued Friday, but multiple people involved in the process told CBSSports.com that a deal had not yet been consummated. The Rockets, who also are exploring scenarios that would bring Dwight Howard to Houston on the hope that he could be persuaded to stay beyond this season, have been assertive in their pursuit of Gasol. Houston's acquisition of the 7-foot Spaniard was voided in December when commissioner David Stern, acting as the owner of the New Orleans Hornets, canceled the three-team trade that would've sent Chris Paul to the Lakers.

Why are the Lakers being any more "sloopy" than the Celtics, with the handling of trade rumors regarding Rondo and Pierce???

I said the other day-not sure why houston has such a hard on for Pau-I think Pau is a type of player that can get a team over the top,but he isn't a real 'build-around' guy, especially at his ageWhy would houston gut their team for him?

Good point, I don't really know what Houston has to offer the Lakers for Gasol???

Are you saying that Gasol can't/won't help the Rockets because he is 31/32 years old?

The Rockets are bleeding hearts............they want a year or two from being washed up Pau and a "I hope I can sign this guy" Howard. I kinda mix this organization and fans up with the one from Denver, as in Broncos. They both seem to live in the land of make believe.
