Warning signs for Carpenter?

08:48 AM ET 03.10 | Given his injury history, the news about Chris Carpenter is disturbing. Carpenter turns 37 on April 27. This isn't a case of a young pitcher waking up one day with the usual spring-training soreness and a stiff neck. It wouldn't be a big deal. But with Carpenter the symptoms could be a warning sign of something far more serious.

He already paid his dues big time in game 5 of last year. Services rendered. He already has gotten more mileage than anyone really could have predicted. Anything else from this point is a bonus

It's all downhill now for the Cards, after Pujols left. They won't have anyone's coattails to ride on now.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully its just some horse crap sports writer in St.Louis looking for something to write about ...because if it is true and with Wainwright still a possible question mark coming back after surgery then I see the Cards having some issues....Unless they have some pitching waiting in the wings .....

What a mess it's becoming in STL. Oh well, they had a nice run with pujols. Time to blow it up and start over

A 37 year old guy whose profession is all about physical exursion playing with a previous surgery repaired elbow starts out sore after being off a few months? Guaranteed that guy's been startin' out SORE every year for some time. He'll be ready opening day.
