Colts shopping Freeney?

08:55 AM ET 03.10 | There are giant photos of four giant Indianapolis Colts adorning Lucas Oil Stadium. Peyton Manning. Gone. Dallas Clark. Gone. Reggie Wayne. Probably gone. And Dwight Freeney, also likely gone, with the Colts reportedly attempting to trade the great defensive end. Now attention turns to Freeney, who reportedly is on the trading block. And he should be. For one, he is due $14 million next year and would count $19 million against the Colts' cap. There's also the question of whether Freeney, unlike Mathis, would be any kind of a fit in a hybrid 3-4 defense.

I wonder if the Colts will trade the #1 pick for more draft choices.

Does Lucas Oil Stadium have any giant photos of Baltimore Colts?

Does the current regime have a history of identifying good, but undervalued, talent?

There are plenty of teams in need of pass rush. Freeney will find a home, but he might have to agree to reworking those contract numbers drastically.

Sorry Stu, I foresaw some changes after a 2-14 season, didn't see him blowing up the whole team . Andrew Luck better have Peyton's skills and Tebow's influence with God to pull this Resurrection off

Who is going to trade for Freeney if his salary is $14 million and he doesn't want to lower it?

Nobody in their right mind will pay him that much, but unless he hooks a sucker willing to grossly overpay he'll have to restructure or ride off into the sunset.

I'm sure Freeney's agent has the Skins on speed dial

Who says Freeney can't play in a 3/4?

When you're old it's harder get down in a 3 point stance. Stand him up!
