Vikings may still trade No. 3 pick

10:41 AM ET 03.11 | It wouldn't be surprising if the Rams at least try to make a deal with the Vikings for the No. 3 pick. If St. Louis were to offer the No. 6 pick plus one of its second-round picks, Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman, who then would have the No. 6 pick and two second-round picks, certainly would find such an offer enticing. There's also the possibility that still another team would want to trade with the Vikings to move up to take running back Trent Richardson of Alabama. The safe pick for the Vikings at No. 3 remains offensive lineman Matt Kalil of Southern California.

Almost as in depth as the article in the local fish wrap about kittens wanting to have fun.

I like this scenario with one exception: why are the Rams so high on that one receiver when there are several others who would be available at 6 that are just as fast and taller. If he was another Calvin Johnson quality, fine, but this guy ain't Calvin and may not even be the best of the draft this year.

A weak attempt by the local rag to try to keep the hometown team relevant.

"It wouldn't be surprising if the Rams at least try to make a deal with the Vikings for the No. 3 pick." "wouldn't be surprising" and "at least try" say it all. This is what we call in the biz "future less vivid" and truly crappy sportswriting.

Vikings not going to get anything for No.3, all the QB's are off. If Matt Barkley were in this draft then their #3 would be worth something.

The Vikings blew it by actuall showing up and winning in week 16 against the Redskins. Had they lost that game like they were supposed to they'd have had the #2 pick that was actually orth something.

What do they have left to trade after the St Louis move?

They should do peterson a favor and trade him now so he can win somewhere before his body inevitable breaks down in the near future. With the way he runs I'd say he has maybe 3-4 good years left in him

As a bears fan I'm glad they won that game lol otherwise they'd have their future franchise qb. Let's be real, what's-his-name from FSU ain't the answer
