08:13 AM ET 03.14 | What a difference a year makes. Carmelo Anthony's discontent with the Knicks organization became so severe after Monday night's loss to the Bulls, he told a confidant he preferred to be traded before Thursday's trade deadline, The Post has learned. According to a person familiar with his thinking, Anthony's disillusionment stems most from a belief coach Mike D'Antoni and interim GM Glen Grunwald do not trust him. He is surprised that after all the Knicks gave up to trade for him, he has not been asked for more input on personnel decisions, as Deron Williams has with the Nets. "The organization makes believe his opinions don't matter," the source said.

Make a trade with the Blazers for Wallace; or with the Hawks for Smith

Man I can't agree with you more. If he had a sense of accountability or his momma showed him how to he'd be ashamed of himself and try to work with the coaching staff and his team mates to get better. He's an overrated egotistical moron. He should be benched until further notice. This is Marbury dejavau. Let's cut out this drama queen real quick...

QUOTE(#5):

At least Marbury wanted to play and it was more of a coach's decision. Marbury wanted play but Dumbtonie froze him out! This time Melo is calling all the shots! Melo is another AI in the making!

AI always played with heart though like Sprewell did... this Melo guy is soft, selfish and a disillusioned about how Knicks fans view him. He's the problem and cancer of the team. We gave up a whole lot of players that fit our style of play... just so he can hedge himself against the new CBA. No way in hell we give up our golden coach for him. At the end of the day Melo is an ISO guy... we went in with good faith hoping he'd be able to adjust but he hasn't so lets cut him loose before he ruins our season.

I love D'Antonis system. It's great fun to watch when all the players are on the same page... that's defending and sharing the ball. Yes it's never won a championship but I don't think anyone that plays as selfish as Melo does will win a championship either.

In my opinion unless we have assurance of Phil Jackson coming to coach the Knicks D'Antoni's system is the best thing for Knicks and Melo clearly can't fit in so let's sing his **** a lullaby!

Stop trying to convince Dolan to keep Melo on this team. He may take your advice.

Im hoping by tomorrow at 3pm EST, I have a reason to burn my #7 Melo T shirt

Me too man... I think Walsh after going through the Marbury drama saw this coming with the Knicks getting Melo and he's like F it.. I'm outta here...

If we can get a good deal, trade him. If not, get him the ball in the 4th quarter. That's why we got him, yet they never turn to him during crunch time. He also has to try to get open late in games. You can see that he is so frustrated by not touching the ball in the 4th that he just stands around or tries to hide I guess trying to prove a point like Kobe did in that game a few years ago when he tried not to shoot the whole game. That being said, he needs to grow the eff up and play hard. I hate to say it, but Reggie (cringe) Miller never stopped running without the ball he always played hard whether he got 20 shots or 5. Grow up Melo!!!
