08:05 AM ET 03.15 | It's rare that conflicting stories can all be true -- that Dwight Howard wanted to stay in Orlando, and he wanted to leave. Howard confirmed to RealGM on Wednesday evening that he will terminate his early termination option and stay in Orlando for at least the 12-13 season. Howard also realizes the impact that his indecision has caused and wants to make things right in the city that has watched him grow both professionally and personally since he came into the NBA in 2004 as the first overall pick. "Man, listen, you know my heart, my soul and everything I have is in Orlando," Howard told RealGM. ... "I have gotten some bad advice," Howard said. "I apologize for this circus I have caused to the fans of our city."

He has already said he is leaving after saying he would stay, what a diva. Just get it over with Magic.

He makes Lebron look good if he doesn't sign the extension. To say you love the city but not resign????Put your pen to paper!

He won't do it, and the Magic would be dumb to let him stay.

He is signing the paper to opt in. 12-13 seasons in a long contract...lolHe was about to sign the paper but the dumb Magic decide to hold it back and wait in the morning and give Howard a chance to think about it more...

Not one report has him signing the opt in, you are making that up.

Is he staying or going? Is he going or staying? I guess we will find an answer later today.

Man if Orlando screws up and don't trade him they'll be crying wolf when the season is over. I definitely aint buying from this Howard teenage PMS act of indecision and games. How can you call yourself a man if you can't make decisions for yourself... blaming sh!!t in bad advice... get the F out Dwight...

QUOTE(#10):

Good win last night by the way.Am not making excuses. If the heat don't get a quality center TODAY they will lose again either in the ECF or the finals.I don't care if they have to pull a rabbit out the hat deal....Pittman,Jones,Harris & a pick for McGee...if that's what it takes to get him, do it!Pittman,Harris and draft pick for Jason Thompson maybe.Pittman,Jones for Aaron Gray perhaps.Joel Anthony and James Jones for Birdman could work. All this cause Riles took Beasley rather than Hibbert or either of the Lopez twins!Riley better get one of these deals done!

yeah that was a good game, I honestly just think those two teams match up against each other really well. Anthony does a really good job of rebounding and toughness in the paint. Their bench just has to show up, nobody from the second unit did a thing, and that is not gonna get it done. Riley went with what looked good at the time, Beasley looked like he was going to be amazing in college, you just can't evaluate what's going on inside sometimes. Looks like the lakers are willing to roll the dice on him.

QUOTE(#11):

Broussard reported. He was about to sign after last nights game and he said he will opt in and sign the paper. Even NBATV reported that he decided to opt in after the game.

Then another report came out not too long after saying he would not, he did say that but never signed the paperwork, now the current report is he will be dealt, as Broussard said on live television after the Bulls game. He will not commit and the Magic are trading him. Go to any sports site right now and you will see it.

What a bizaar circus. Like Dee said, he's making LeBron look not so bad...

Howard obviously loves the spotlight cause he sure has got himself in it right now!

So, the Magic now want to revisit the Lakers trade? Is that what anyone else heard?

March 15, 2012  09:08 AM ET

If howard signs on to stay for one more year then the ball is in orlandos hands. They have all off season to make it work putting the pieces together and if not then you already know what it is.. Hes gone.. I think its a fair deal.. The magic have a good chance in him staying if they dont mess it up.
