08:06 AM ET 03.16 | There was something a little different about this exchange. Once more, DeSean Jackson answered questions about his contract. Only this time, he did it with a smile and with certainty. With his future in Philadelphia secure, the dynamic wide receiver offered bold predictions of success for himself and his team. "I have five bright years to look forward to. In one of those years, I'm going to guarantee a Super Bowl because we've been close the past four years," Jackson said Thursday, a day after agreeing to a five-year contract with the team that drafted him in 2008. ... Jackson said he aims to be one of the game's greats. "I want to shoot for the Hall of Fame," he said.

I'm sorry. I must have misread this article. It almost sounds like Desean Jackson hopes to go to the Super Bowl and get into the Hall of Fame. I better re-read it to understand what he really meant.

They've been close the last 4 years? Maybe once in the last 4 years.

should re-title the story to "A Fool and His Dreams".

I think he meant..."I got paid...."

That's good, then. He can buy a ticket and get into the Hall of Fame that way.

now we know why they are called the Dream Team... you will be dissatisfied with your contract and holding out by next year.

Knowing Jackson, he'll probably go to Cooperstown.

He's on drugs

I'd much rather see him borrow Ochocinco's jacket just so he receives the appropriate amount of attention and can better qualify himself.

You don't get any closer than having VY proclaim you the Dream Team. Oh wait, VY's gone; can't call themselves that anymore.

He will be all smiles, unless ,Philadelphia possibly doesn't make it to the playoffs in the next 3 years.

Hey, if NYG's had lost to NYJ's and then beat Dallas the Redskins would have made it into the playoffs based on a better division record.

You misinterpreted it... He guaranteed a Super Bowl.

He's delusional.

I believe the Bengals had a reciever in the recent past who would talk like this all the time. Hell he even made his own hall of fame jacket. Where is he now? Thats right catching 10 passes a season and kissing goodbye to any chance in hell of making it to the hall. Keep talking.

Still too many prima donna's on that team all wanting the ball, all wanting to be that star and to hell with everyone else. That's why dream teams often fail. No one wants to share. Didn't hear him whisper one word about wanted to help his TEAM to the superbowl.
