Injury solidifies Linsanity's future

10:24 AM ET 03.17 | Don't throw dirt on Linsanity's grave just yet. Before last night's Knicks win over the Pacers, interim coach Mike Woodson said point guard Jeremy Lin would start the rest of the season with Baron Davis as his backup. That idea then looked even more realistic when Davis left the game in the second quarter with a strained right hamstring. Davis exited with 9:10 left in the second quarter after scoring seven points in nearly seven minutes played. Davis looked like he was just shaking off the rust after missing the first seven weeks of the season recovering from a back injury.

Where's all this talk about the "system"? Where's all this talk about how the Knicks can't win with Melo in the game? Where's all this talk about the Knicks only showed effort because Mike got fired, it'll only last for one game? Where's all this talk about the pick and roll that only Lin can run and that it the only chance the Knicks have of winning? Where's all this talk about the comformity of Melo into the "system" is the only chance the Knicks have a winning?.........all garbage, hate and uneducated silliness is all it was.
The past two games everyone has played and I mean everyone. This is directly because the "system" has been canned. The outta controllable Lin has been controlled. The focus is on the true stars, hence Stat & Melo, the same as in Lebron/Wade, Durant/Westbrook, Duncan/Parker, Pierce/Allen, Kobe, Dirk, Kyrie, D-Will if you're the one star on the team. This much is easy to figure out except to all you Melo Haters. Don't let hate cloud you ration.
The Knicks will be fine as I have been saying!

This may very well be true if the happen to play them, but the Knicks will give them trouble, no cake walk, with Mike at the head with his "system" in place, maybe no playoffs and a certain 4 game sweep. Can't say the will happen now.
I looking forward to next season under new leadship. Thank God Mike is over. Lastly, don't be so sure about the Bulls or Heat in this abbreviated cluttered season.....anything can happen, and I won't be surprised if any one of a number of teams aside of these two win it all.

Lin is a rookie. Give him a break. He'll get better.

No, it is you and others whom needs to wake up. This is what I have been saying all along that Melo & Stat should be the number one options and not Lin as he was in the Mike "system. I am certainly not blaming Lin, but rather Mike and his distored view with the "system" in place. Now.....do you get the point. Its never been about Lin, I never pent the Knicks hopes on Linsanity as has others did. Your days of blaming Melo are gone, you'll have to find a new fad.

You just never know. In 1999, in the strike shortened season, NY Knicks went into the playoffs at the 8th Seed, barely creeping in. Oh by the way, they made the Finals and they didn't have as much talent as this team. Lebron and Rose have yet to prove they have what it takes when it really counts. I'll believe that they do when I see it.

There is no doubt they are better with Lin at PG. He just needs more experience. He did lead them to 7 wins without Carmelo. Not a bad resume if you ask me. LINSANITY is Alive!
