08:05 AM ET 03.19 | As with any offseason signing, there's a chance, with Brandon Lloyd in the fold, someone's going to lose a job in New England. Lloyd, 30, made no secret that he wanted to play for the Patriots, where he would be reunited with Josh McDaniels. ... It also seems to suggest that there wasn't much of a market for him. Lloyd's deal is a bit less than Chad Ochocinco received from the Patriots last year. Ochocinco wasn't successful in his first season in New England. With Lloyd in the fold, Ochocinco may not be here much longer. Though Ochocinco tweeted recently that he would be open to renegotiating his contract, according to NFL Players Association records, he is due to make $3 million in base salary this season.

Ocho is like the aging prom queen being passed from one man to the next. Maybe he'll wind up with the Jets.

Ocho's going to have to be shown the door. Left on his own, Ocho would inevitably go down the wrong corridor and walk into a closet.

Underwood will have a job this season with New England. Ocho will be living in a hobo camp next to the Boston & Maine tracks.

Ochocinco wasn't successful in his first season in New England - a bit optimistic, as it suggests Chad will have more than one year to watch the leaves change color there

Right...his total lack of productivity last year coupled with the plethora of WRs (younger) that NE has signed makes this a duhhhhhh moment

Given the shape things are in by the time they get to Oakland, I think it's better to call it "composting."
