08:38 AM ET 03.20 | Lee Stempniak and Blake Comeau remain optimistic that the Flames can control their fate and make the playoffs, but their head coach wants to see it on the ice. With nine games remaining in the regular season, the Calgary Flames are a couple of points behind the playoff pace. So it seems a little late for [Brent Sutter] to be forced to make a plea for his team to show more passion. Yet there he was Monday, in the aftermath dropping games to the 29th and 30th place teams on the weekend, imploring his charges to find their inner fire. "Our team is a real good hockey team when we have emotion and we have intensity, but when we don't bring that, we're not a very good hockey team," Sutter said.

The Flames have 2 major failings this year. They had a 90 point star in Bertshi that they left in the minors. He comes up and proves he is a gold chip offensive guy but the cannot keep him up.He scores 3 goals in 4 games from the 3rd line. They only won 1 game of 12 when they rested Kipper. No real back up , and leaving offense in the minors-Nice work Jumbo !!!!
