Nets' Williams still drawn to Dallas

08:20 AM ET 03.21 | If there were a dream shared by Nets fans, Dwight Howard threw a measure of cold water on it over the weekend. What the Nets really needed was a magnet to keep Williams firmly anchored in their plans, and well, Howard's decision left the All-Star point guard floating in never-never land -- somewhere between Newark, Brooklyn, Dallas and points unknown. A person who has worked with Williams on a daily basis in the past reiterated this week that going home to Dallas remains an overwhelmingly attractive option for the 27-year-old point guard, who was shipped to the Nets against his will in what turned out to be a brilliant move by the Utah Jazz last February.

D-will, just switch teams in NY and you will be fine.. Leave soon to be Brooklyn and come to Manhattan... Deron and Lin in the backout at the same time would be nice.

Doesn't make sense -- they are both pick&roll PGs and need the ball in their hands.

Plus -- the Knicks don't have the $$$$.

The Nets are done. Way to open up a new arena. Only the Nets can accomplish a fest such as this.

Just as I said.....the Knicks will be fine 4-0 and counting. Team defense 88.5 last four games. Everybody is playing defense. Yeah, the ones who did'nt play such as Melo, Stat, Davis, Lin and Novak.

Last night, Stat 22 & 12, Lin 18 & 10 Melo 17, 8, 5, Chandler 17 & 10.. equals balanced team play, as has been the case since the change of Mike D. has taken place. Change was all that was needed. The Knicks will be fine and by season's end you guys won't be saying "dude, take it easy, its just a few games" as you have been saying the past few days. Again.....the Knicks will be fine......only true and loyal Knicks fans stay the course, not these turncoat on and off again fans.

Never had a proble with Chandler, Smith, Jeffries, Shump, Fields playing defense they always did.

OBTW, don't get it twisted, Woodson don't have a "System". Remember, Dantoni is the fool who had the "System", along with a no defense attitude. It was'nt required of Melo, Stat, or Lin to play any in the "System", yeah, you know the one that Dantoni had in place. Different coach, different story.....real simple.

Cuban is willing to spend the $$$ and has a plan. He has been able to bring in free agents in the past.

I think the players appreciate his commitment.
