Because his $8 million salary for 2012 wouldn't be guaranteed until he passed through the league's waiver system this offseason, the Titans had a chance to get off the hook for part of the monster $53.5 million extension he signed last September. The Titans scoffed at the notion, and now it's officially a dead issue. Johnson's salary of $8 million for this fall is now fully guaranteed. ... Johnson has already made it known he plans to lead the NFL in rushing in 2012, something he did in 2009 when he ran for 2,006 yards. If he struggles this fall, however, you can be sure the topic comes up again.
