08:09 AM ET 03.21 | Early in the 2011 season, when Chris Johnson struggled, some suggested the Titans running back might be in danger of being released this offseason. Because his $8 million salary for 2012 wouldn't be guaranteed until he passed through the league's waiver system this offseason, the Titans had a chance to get off the hook for part of the monster $53.5 million extension he signed last September. The Titans scoffed at the notion, and now it's officially a dead issue. Johnson's salary of $8 million for this fall is now fully guaranteed. ... Johnson has already made it known he plans to lead the NFL in rushing in 2012, something he did in 2009 when he ran for 2,006 yards. If he struggles this fall, however, you can be sure the topic comes up again.

Get in shape, come to training camp, work hard. Get back to the basics.

It's always about CJ's goals, never any mention about team goals.

Wasn't that the advice he was given last year? Why should he listen this time around? He's a rich man now. Guaranteed.

WOW. Does he play Pop Warner. He's paid millions of dollars. He's supposed to do those things.

Maybe he needs a bounty...

Man, in '09 this kid made Peterson look irrelavent as a Running Back. Too bad he doesn't have the work ethic and drive as Adrian!

Actually, too bad he doesn't care now that he got a fat paycheck!

C3PO needs to put down the crack pipe.....2009 was 3 YEARS AGO and his window as a "premier" RB is closing fast....I'd be surprised if he gets anywhere near 2000yds this season.......except, that's right, he does get to play the Colts twice....

As a Titans fan, I say, he'll have a good year. As a realistic Titans fan, I say, the Titans are in trouble with him.

It seems like CJ2K has a lot to prove to a lot of folks... team ownership, teammates, and the fans, too.
