Poor phone connection, and a bad transcription. What Tannenbaum really said was "Mark Sanchez is a has-been."

Word. The leadership skills and work ethic between the two, is like apples and oranges. It won't take long to see.

Who doesn't love the circus, besides the guy who gets shot out of the cannon.

Actually this DOES make some sense.....Sanchez is actually good for about half a game, any longer gives him too much opportunity to make a bad decision.... by platooning him and Tebow running the Wildcat, they have a better shot at winning... ;)

Watching a game where Tim Tebow performed his magic: 57 minutes of screaming at the TV because the offense plays so poorly you can't believe it, followed by 3 minutes of screaming at the TV because you can't believe what just happened.

Enjoy it, New York. It was definitely better than 60 minutes of Kyle Orton's predictable mediocrity, but I don't think you'll call it championship football.

Yep. "Mark Sanchez is a has-been, and Tebow will be our starting QB." The static must've been terrible for everyone to get that confused.

If the Jets had TOTAL faith that Sanchez was the guy and could lead the team to the playoff's they would have passed on Tebow. The Jets had to give Sanchez that contract to cement him until they find a replacement.
The Jets understand that they must be a running and passing team and that the only passing part with Sanchez won't get it done. If Sanchez has a solid run game to work with he can survive otherwise its Tebowmania time.

And no doubt it will be a QB controversy, one that is not going to end well for thin skinned Sanchez. Sanchez is not nearly good enough of a QB to withstand the inevitable calls for Tebow from the Jests fans, which will surely happen about the time Sanchez throws his first incompletion. It will be good tv, and as a Patriots fan nothing will make me happier to see the Jets go down in flames... Love this.
