08:17 AM ET 03.22 | Perhaps Kendall Marshall is a quick healer. Two days after [Marshall] underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his right wrist, doctors removed his cast. It remains unclear whether Marshall will play on Friday night, when the Tar Heels face Ohio in the NCAA tournament Midwest regional semifinals. Despite the uncertainty, Marshall wrote a cheerful tweet on after his procedure. "Cast off!" Marshall wrote on his Twitter account. UNC spokesman Matt Bowers said that Marshall's status remained the same. "His post-surgery cast is off but he was fitted with a splint that he's wearing now." Marshall suffered his injury during UNC's 87-73 victory against Creighton on Sunday in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

This is not so good on so many levels, should have left the cast on IMO.

*sniff* *sniff* Oh, the sweet sweet smell of fear.

All it will take is one good shot to that arm and his basketball career could be over. There is no way, under any circumstances, should Roy play this guy. He's got enough talent to overcome this loss. I know it's a big loss but nothing they can't overcome. Why risk this kid's career.

Bobcats, baby! UNC will come unglued! Their coach will coach them to defeat!

So laughable. The fear and anxiety.

Marshall would have had the cast off regardless of the games this weekend. The screw in his wrist will keep it steady so it can heal. There's no more need of the cast. Playing this weekend will depend on how Marshall feels. Risk of injury isn't a factor now that the screw has been inserted. The bone that was fractured receives good blood flow so that's not an issue either. That's why there's a possibility for him to play this weekend if the swelling has gone down. Williams will not play Marshall if there's risk of Marshall's future health. UNC is planning to play without Marshal unless Marshal and the doctors say he's ready. It's not William's call until he's cleared to play by the doctors.

with a roster full of HS All Americans why rush the kid back. If soft Roy wasn't so weak mentally he would let the kid just heal correctly. Roy the wimp has enough talent to go around but no greedy soft Roy wants more. Hope Ohio beats them and Roy cries and sobs.

Get a clue doofus, Coach Williams held Henson out 3 games.
