Brodeur waffling on retirement?

08:48 AM ET 03.22 | Martin Brodeur has a decision to make. No active goalie has had a better career than Brodeur. And it sounds like the same thing will be said about him next season. "We'll see," he said, "if they're going to take me back." Brodeur -- always open and talkative with the media for parts of three decades -- is joking, of course. Hard to believe New Jersey general manager Lou Lamoriello, who drafted Brodeur and has often referred to him as the game's greatest goalie, would ever let the Montreal native play elsewhere. "I'm having fun. It's been a great year so far," Brodeur said. "But I'm not 100 percent sure what I want do to yet." He's done enough already, certainly.

I will behave and not make the Brodeur/waffle jokes
Although he's lost a step or so, I think he could probably still play another season. Montreal would love him for a season I'm sure

Maybe Danny has an opinion on the waffling?

So in this upcoming offseason, we'll have endless T&R threads on "Will Marty play one more year?" And if he decides to call it a day, they'll switch to "Brodeur contemplating a return?" And he can join Sundin and Forsberg on the "will they or won't they" watch.

I don't have to behave Spiny so here goes.
It looks like he's not only waffling he's also cheeseburgering, sandwiching, and pork chopping.
Canuck eh?

Keep in mind this is from the bastion of sports information, the Wall Street Journal. I'm sure they have their finger on the pulse of the NHL.

He's coming back, the second half of the season he has been very good. The only question on who is coming back is Parise.

I agree. I heard during the Ranger/Devil game the other night something about trying to bring Parise to The Wild. (hometown thingy I suppose?) Why in the world would he do that? And besides, that would mean something here in T&R may have been right! (wasn't that in here last week?) And that will only encourage them

TSN was reporting last night that Parise and Suter could end up in Carolina.
No joke.

And Pierre/NBC was saying the Devils were in negotiations right now. So many stories, so many future T&R articles.

please no. I could see the goat trading away our draft pick for a season of Brodeur.

No we wont, because there is only one resident Jersey fan & none of them interns seem particularly excited about the Devils (unlike the Wild). If a Brodeur to Wild rumor gets started then we will be treated to 2 a days, a la Burkie.

BTW, NARD, did you see how sharp the devils looked in the vintage unis? Im definitely a fan.

And I was so hoping that over the last two games, Pierre would get a puck in that big melon of his. Shows you how unfair life can be. Sidney Crosby and countless others get concussed as they do, and this baboon stands between the benches...no safe haven inthe Rangers'/Devils game...and nothing.

was the green a one day thingy?

Negative on that...he's been done for a long time now...fortunately the Devils had a number one gumper in Hedberg to get them through this season.

Love them they do it every year on/around St Patrick's day. If Lou wasn't such a crumudgin they would have them as the third jersey.

Seriously, after hearing Pierre said this is such a strange game about 400 times I almost became bald like Pierre from pulling my hair out. I pray he gets a GM job somewhere.
