06:12 AM ET 03.23 | Troy Aikman can say that Tony Romo is a better quarterback than he was but that doesn't mean Aikman's former teammates agree. Earlier in the week, Aikman told The Brownsville Herald that Romo "already is a better quarterback than I was." In fact, when asked for his thoughts on the comments Aikman made on Tuesday, former Cowboys safety Darren Woodson jokingly questioned if the Hall of Fame QB had been drinking alcohol at the time he delivered the bold statement. "I didn't hear the comments. One more time," Woodson, who was a guest Thursday on the Ben and Skin Show on 103.3 [KESN-FM] in Dallas, said while laughing. "What did he say? Was he drinking?"

And if it wasn't alcohol, it was Romo man juice, he was gulping.

This is a story? An joking comment makes headlines. Good Lord, journalism died so long ago.

March 23, 2012  07:21 AM ET

This is why Aikman mostly just sticks to saying, "Well, you're absolutely right, Joe."

Right. Unless they replace the Aikman picture with some cheerleaders, this thread is useless.

His brain is squishy from all those concussions.

March 23, 2012  08:10 AM ET

Staubach said Aikman was better than him also...

All nice and everything... but Roger is still the gold standard in Dallas - with Troy right behind.

March 23, 2012  08:12 AM ET

This is the Dallas Morning News. They probably have a daily "Where is Troy" segment.

In that photo, he's wearing a medal he received for working with Buck.

March 23, 2012  08:27 AM ET

The fact is that Troy had a much better supporting cast around him than Romo has.

Or a "which former Cowboy is under the influence" column. Troy just broke "the Playmaker's" streak.
