Can Rubio sway Love to stay in Minnesota?

07:54 AM ET 03.23 | Kevin Love loves the laid back life in Minneapolis, playing with rookies Ricky Rubio and Derrick Williams, and being coached by Rick Adelman. But the two-time All-Star also said "it's tough to say" if he could see himself staying in Minnesota his entire career. If things don't continue to progress, greener pastures could be calling for Minnesota's star, just like they did for LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Chris Paul. Love credits Ricky Rubio for playing a major role in improving his scoring average by five points. Rubio will be a key figure in keeping Love happy in Minnesota.

Minny's a hard place to be in (weather and small market wise), but I like the product they're turning into. Adelman could be COY and Love still might be in the running for MVP.

Yup... They have some nice pieces in place...

And Adelman should be COY.

Four years from now, we don't know if Love will be playing at the same or close to the same level he's presently playing at, and for that matter, Love does'nt either. He could be in demand or he could'nt, who knows? Way too early to speculate on what effect Rubio will have on Love's decision. Look, Rubio is hurt at present and we don't know how he'll return or if he will be the same player before the injury. This thread should a topic two three years from now.

If Pau doesn't live up to expectations, Gasol for Love in the offseason!!!!

Too one-sided.

That would complete the Bulls, no doubt! But if he's leaving, I'd rather see him in Purple and Gold!

He has 3 years to think about it. Why is this even brought up? Is there something we don't know about the extension he just signed? Does he get to opt out this summer? This story is just 2 years too early.

I was wondering that too...was this a question from some snarky reporter trying to stir up controversy? Still bad timing for this question/theory
