Mavericks bench Odom

08:39 AM ET 03.24 | On the bright side, the Mavericks can't blame this one on Lamar Odom. The struggling backup forward never got off the bench Friday night, even though he was in uniform. Then again, he was about as productive as all his teammates in the final 16 minutes of a game that ended with the Mavericks shaking their heads again at the end of a trip to San Antonio. Odom never budged off the Mavericks??? bench, the first time all season he has not gotten into a game when he???s been available. That it comes on the heels of his 1-point, 1-rebound, 1-assist effort against the Lakers on Wednesday made it fair to wonder if Odom has been taken out of the regular rotation.

Wake up call for Odom...

Odom has been asleep for a while now and he is very hard to wake up.

Dude's gotta get his head together! Damn those Mavericks for stealing Odom from us...

QUOTE(#5):

They might need to just release Odom and move forward. 2/3 of the season is over and he is going backwards. He will not help the team no more. He played bad in purpose against the Lakers. There was one time where Jet was open for a 3 but he chose to give it Roddy. They just have to send him home and release him 1 week before the playoffs.

They need to cut him NOW while the season is still salvageable!!!

He should have been cut during his sabbatical!

He is a black cloud hanging over the entire franchise and nothing good will come from his continued employment here.

...Why cut him and let him go wherever he wants to go? Let him suffer because he does not know what he has until it's gone. He has been given too many chances...

Exactly! Why pay him for doing nothing? I would make him suit up and ride the pine until the last minute of the Mavs season be it regular season, playoffs or finals!

Can you cut a player right before the finals begin? If so and the Mavs make the finals...that's when they should cut him so he doesn't get a ring that he doesn't deserve!

Not hating on my boy Lamar, I think that should apply to any waste of space player!

Miss The Lakers Much, Bro?

How about a pay cut too...

It's pretty bad when that stiff Yi is going to get more pt than Odom...dud is just soft...Seton O'conner soft.
