Cowboys may sign more free agents

08:49 AM ET 03.24 | Last month, Cowboys officials expressed hope that they would be able to address their most obvious personnel deficiencies through free agency so that the team would be in position to take the best players available during the draft. "We have done that," Jerry Jones said emphatically. For that reason, Jones seems satisfied with the progress the Cowboys have made in their efforts to bolster their roster. "We had a plan and we had a wish list of specific players," he said. "I don't know when we have ever had more success when executing our plan." And, according to Jones, their mission to restore the Cowboys may not be over. Asked if there is a possibility the team will bring in additional players in the near future, Jones was coy. "We have the room and we can," he said. "So I wouldn't close the door."

"I don't know when we've ever had more success when executing our plan".

I'd say it was about 20 years ago.

Cowboys will never win until they hire a real GM

Jerry is finally having his last moments of clarity. Nice job on the 2012 bucket list. Still more to do.

OK, but here is the thing JJ.
You lost four of your last five games. the last two to division rivals in must win games by a total of 30 points.
Robinson may have been the number 3 receiver, but he led the team in TDs with 11. He is gone.
You did not like Bennett in the passing game, but he was a beast in blocking for the running game.
Spencer was second on the team with 6 sacks. Ware is the only true rush guy on the team, and he can disappear for whole games.
Newman was not the only problem back there.

You got to get better just to keep up, and Garrett is a nice guy, but is anybody sold on him yet?

Icing your own kicker does not make you look like a smart head coach.

I could go and rant but you, sir, just captured my feelings perfectly.

Thank you.

The thing is, who made that plan 20 years ago?
I think JJ is learning, or at least saying the right words. The OT pick last year was outstanding, but FA only gets you over a hump if you are near the summit.

And Aikman said Romo is a better QB than he was. Must be the water in Dallas.

Good luck with Bennett in NY. He needs a work ethic to go along with all that potential. He's got a million dollar body and a 10 cent brain. He would have been cut if a trade couldn't be arranged.

Al Davis JR is an idiot... if the last 15 years haven't told you anything... you should at least learn he's a liar, idiot that has no right calling himself a GM.

ALL valid points... the only problem is that Al Davis JR continues to get everyone to buy it...

I wouldn't say J.J's getting anyone to buy it... Cowboys fans are kinda stuck with him.
