10:36 AM ET 03.24 | Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is still in the news for his cheerleading of TRT, this time for comments made during an appearance on the Sherdog Radio Network's Savage Dog Show. Following his UFC 144 tilt against Ryan Bader (which he lost via unanimous decision), Jackson revealed that he'd been somewhat shadily prescribed testosterone, his comments igniting a firestorm of controversy around the subject of TRT in MMA. On the Savage Dog Show, Rampage defended his use of TRT and stood by his belief that he truly needs to correct a medical condition.

TRT is for people that over did it on the steroids when they were younger and screwed up their body's ability to make enough testosterone naturally.....basically, if you cheat too much early in your career, they will give you an exemption that allows you to keep on cheating...

Especially when you look at the actual medical reasons for people to have TRT. It doesn't fit with someone who is suppose to be a world class athlete.

maybe i don't know enough about TRT but why such an elevated testosterone level after treatment? Why can't it be modified for those that claim they need the treatment to more natural levels versus the extreme levels we've been seeing from users of TRT.
oh wait, cause that would defeat the purpose of trying to gain an advantage. TRT for mma fighters is a joke. those guys are gonna need to find another way to circumvent the system
