11:04 AM ET 03.25 | There are things out of Vinny Del Negro's control. One of those things is a belief within the Clippers organization that, no matter what happens the rest of the season, Del Negro is not the right coach for this team. While nobody would say it publicly, there were indications Saturday that Del Negro might not survive the 18 games remaining in the regular season, and if he does, he would certainly not be retained for next season. The move actually might have been made Saturday if this once-promising team had lost for the 15th time in 26 games and crept closer to being bounced from the playoffs

It won't matter either way. It's not like VDN runs a system now. It's either high pick-and-roll or let CP3 break down his defender. The Clips need to improve their defense, which would give him more fast breaks... something they are actually good at. At this point, they can fire VDN and hire their ball boy and nothing would change until they changed their defensive mindset.

Clipper fans are finding out what Bulls fans went through...Del Negro makes poor in game decisions and will keep your team just at or above .500 and the 7th/8th seed for the playoffs...bounced in the 1st round and the 17th pick in the draft...too much talent on this Clipper team for them to be 27-21
