08:28 AM ET 03.26 | With Teemu Selanne, it hasn't been easy to cast a prediction, but a recent interview may have helped bring his future into focus. Teemu Selanne will not retire. Instead, the greatest Duck ever will come back to play for the team during the 2012-13 season. That's my gut feeling after spending 20 minutes with Selanne following practice Saturday. ... [Before] our conversation, I was certain -- fairly certain -- this would be his final season. Put it this way: I would have been willing to bet your paycheck on it. Though he committed to nothing Saturday, in doing so -- or not doing so, technically -- he convinced me he will return. "There's more inside me that wants to play than retire," Selanne admitted.

Selanne still has enough talent to play, but where are the Ducks going, long term, roster wise?
They will be on the outside of the PO this season.

Maybe Selanne should have a last horrah in Winnepeg next season?

When you look at how close the Jets are to the playoffs, makes you wonder if Selanne had gone there for this season where they would be.

Speaking of Preparation H, I posted Coaches Corner for you on one of yesterday's threads.

(Watch for the obvious swipe at the Irked One.)

If that's the case then he must have been having a flareup.

I was thinking about that Friday when the the Jets came back to beat us! I always liked Teemu. I imagine all those crazy Jets fans would love to see him finish (Finnish) his career up there.

Wherever Teemu ends up, he'll be a huge plus. Still puts up the numbers on a regular basis! I thought the Ducks would've fared better this year with the talent they had....mind you I also thought the same about the Oilers!
