Since when does an ESPN reporter know about the inner conversations of management?
As for some of these choices... I have to say these are "good" problems to have. Some of these prospects are killing the ball in spring training. Depth is nice. If they can put together even a half-a**ed rotation, they're going to be in good shape.

Cherington is still in charge of personnel decisions, so he can demote Iglesias if he wants to. Both of their jobs rely on their ability to work together, so they will both accept their marriage

If Cherington favors Mike Aviles over anybody he should fired. Aviles has to be the lousiest player I have seen in an MLB uniform in years. Can't field, can't hit, can't run.

Iglesias can't get over the Mendoza line while Aviles is batting .333 in spring training. Mike also went 3 for 4 yesterday with 2 runs and an RBI. I can understand why the discussion is happening.
