08:05 AM ET 03.27 | Whether this is pre-draft posturing remains to be seen for Indy. Colts owner Jim Irsay said it's not a foregone conclusion that Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck will be the franchise's first overall pick in next month's draft over Baylor's Robert Griffin III. "It's up in the air," Irsay told USA TODAY. "We have to look at this thing completely open-minded. You have two outstanding athletes, two great pure passers, two guys from families that are incredible." Irsay said he, general manager Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano have yet to make a decision, but negotiations could be a factor. "If we get to the point where we're going to negotiate early, get something done before the draft, you never rule that out," Irsay said.

Jim Irsay decided he needed to see his name in the paper again. Luck may not be a lady tonight, but Luck will be a Colt in April.

I think if it comes down to a football decision it will be Luck, and if it's a business decision RGIII.

I think it really is up in the air. That's a side effect of Polian leaving. He was the one focused on Andrew Luck but he's not the guy anymore. The very fact he was fired means they have to take a closer look and not just do what Polian would've done.

LOL!

As I said in last week's thread about whether RG3 should go first, a year from now RG3 will be regarded as the best choice. Five years from now, it will be Andrew Luck.

Seriously?
Huh?

It's about time there is some common sense involved. Luck plays old style, something that does not work anymore unless a club also decides to play old style football. Luck is not a champion, he is an average QB.

Andre Luck arm iis not as strong. That is the concern.

It is written in stone, and every NFL GM knows it. The Redskins would like nothing better than to have Luck fall to them.
Not a knock on RG, but he is the second QB in this draft.

And that is why Montana was taken in the third round. for the record, Walsh had tried out Phil Sims and told him they were going to take him in the third round, after the Giants took him in the first Montana was his next choice.

The Redskins need to get RGIII; so that they may have two ( 2 ) RGIII QB's - a) Robert Griffin III, and b) Rex Grossman III; I kid you not..... you can look it up..

ps.. Otis - Gummo called; Thalberg and MGM want us back.....

Smoke and mirrors, or what purpose I can't fathom, but Luck is going to Indy.

Posturing to help the colt in contract negotiation with Luck. Plant the seed that they would be happy w/ RGIII and try to take away some of Luck's bargianing power.

$$ games, nothing else, IMHO
