08:07 AM ET 03.30 | Does Steve Nash, who hit two national shows Thursday, have to win a title to cement his greatness? "I might lose sleep on occasion, but overall I know everything's all right," [Steve Nash said on Jim Rome's show Thursday]. "I know a lot of great players have not won championships, and a lot of mediocre players have. I don't think it's something that has to follow you around. It definitely still drives me, and I want a chance to win a championship and play on a contender, but there's a lot of things to consider." ... Nash didn't sound opposed to playing for the Heat when [Dan Patrick] brought up the question. "I'd listen," Nash said of a call from Miami. "I love what they're doing there."

I agree with you Mr. Nash take my Pistons for instance...Rip, Tay, Sheed, Billups and Big Ben all were good players but not great.....but they made a hellava team. Darn the Glory days lol

If there's a player who deserves the opportunity to win a title for the first time it's Steve Nash.

i'm not a heat fan, but i'd love to see Nash play for miami.

1. nash can up bosh's offense.
2. he can create open lanes/shots for both LBJ and DWade.
3. he's a capable shooter.
4. heat will be better on the break
5. better half court offense. i think they struggle in this area. pick n' roll w/ bosh would be hard to stop esp when you have LBJ and wade on your wing. i think nash can help w/ bron's struggles in the 4th. wade is just to good and i think he can still play well w/o the ball.

he has great defensive wings to help him out on D. if the price is right, i think miami should try to get nash. i don't think he'll turn out to be like bibby.

QUOTE(#9):

Huh? Nash has had plenty of opportunities. He's a good player albeit and old one, but with all due respect, he doesn't deserve anything more than anyone else.

Okay...if there's a player that I would like to see win a title for the first time it's Steve Nash. Sheesh...

Why is that?
Did he cure cancer? Rescue a cat from a tree?

A few things here (and I post them all at once to avoid multiple lag waiting periods):

1) I agree with jgb and Doc that no one 'deserves' anything. Especially if you had the opportunity to earn something and failed at it then basically had it handed to you!

2) LeBron's legacy gets hit on the bad side the more help he needs to win a ring. Yes a win is a win but, when you need the U.S. Olympics team to win it speaks volumes of your inability to shine!

3) "[I]Why is that? Did he cure cancer? Rescue a cat from a tree?[/]"...
jgb has officially become my favorite funny guy on FN.
