Kentucky assistant talking to Miss. St.

They appear to be looking at some fairly good coaches....of course I think anything would be better than who they had...

As long as he doesn't think Miss St will BE Kentucky. Reminds me of something from your old neck of the woods D.

Ralph Tasker, long time coach at Hobbs, NM high school played a unique style. When other coaches came learn some of his style he told them not to try it lock step at another place. Said he couldn't do it that way at another location either. His comment was always something along the lines of "If you are going to try to PLAY LIKE Hobbs, you better BE Hobbs." He always told them to be the best _______________ (fill in the location) they could be and not someone else.

He coached against us then....

One year Hobbs had two 6'6" guys (this was back when 6'6" was like 7' now and 200 lbs was a Lineman in football)....they would go down the court just passing the ball to each other over everyone else's head. Think they beat us 100-60 that game....

They may not can afford the ones they want which will make them try the assistant first and hope for the best and save money too.

Since Mullen came on-board they are beginning to open up the purse strings....getting more money in pledges, donations and fund-raisers too.
