10:01 AM ET 03.31 | While everyone is trying to figure out if or when Tim Tebow will become the Jets' starting quarterback, Tebow claimed Friday he is not worried about it. Appearing on 1050 ESPN Radio, Tebow dodged questions about whether he wants to start. When asked if he thinks he'll ever be a starting quarterback again, Tebow expressed uncertainty. "I'm not sure," he said. "I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds my future. That is something that has always given me peace and comfort. That's why I don't have to worry about the future. I can just worry about today and worry about becoming better as a football player and a person." Tebow has been very careful to say all the right things since becoming a Jet last week. He continued to dance around whether he hopes to take Mark Sanchez's job. The Jets have said he will be Sanchez's backup and will be used in a special packages.

Tebow tiptoes around Jets role:

Is that like a bread roll or a spring roll?

I think I can use an analogy to explain this situation. The Jets organization is a car owner. They recently purchased a Kia about three years ago, and it really isn't the cool car they thought it was going to be. They've become frustrated, so they've purchased a Yugo as their backup plan. Neither vehicle is going to beat a Mustang in a head to head race.

A Yugo? They purchased a BMW.

The jets with Sanchez had 2 out of 3 successful seasons. He isnt a star, but you can be competitive with him as long as you dont let the rest of the team fall into disarray as the jets did last year

Good comment, how many NFL QBs are star?? Maybe 5/6 real good QBs in the NFL!!!

Truth.

Too many teams, and not enough good QBs to go around. Watered-down league IMO.

Sanchez can't make all the throws - his game is short-medium passes between the numbers. Tebow could give him a run for his money.

Yes, I agree, I think Tebow will give Mark all the competition he wants!!!

Seriously, no honest. It can work in situations, third and short , goal line stuff, and they gave very little for him. No, I would hate to have him as my starting QB, but this can work. Heck, he will make more money from advertising than he ever will as a football player, that is why he wanted to go to the Jets. Jeesh!

No this guy doesn't want to start or play QB just like Kim Kardasian is shy about having her picture taken.

What is the big tebowski supposed to say?If he was smart, he'd just give bill belichek answers...bland, blah, 1 word answers, then the media would leave him alone

New York media will keep trying to stir the pot. However, eliciting comments from quote machine Rex or Sanchez will be the surer way to stoke a controversy. Tebow gave a straight forward reply about what the future holds and took the opportunity to reference his belief in a higher power. New York media totally baffled by his faith, then says he "claims" not to be worried and that he "dodged" the question.
