08:10 AM ET 04.02 | Talk about shedding a label. [Isaiah Thomas] has moved from the last pick in the 2011 NBA draft to a key role in the team's starting lineup. In the community he's creating a different buzz as he explores a broader role, showing up at the City Council for a critical vote on a proposed new arena or at a school as a role model for at-risk students. ... With the 60th pick of the 2011 draft, the Kings chose Thomas, a 5-foot-9 point guard from the University of Washington. Dead last, 50 spots behind Jimmer Fredette, the college scoring machine who inspired Jimmermania. Since February, Thomas has started for the Kings. Before Saturday night's game against the New Jersey Nets, he was averaging 16.1 points and 5.9 assists in the previous 10 games.

Once he learns how to play at least below average defense, then he'll be a good starter. Otherwise, on an actual good team, he'd be a bench sparkplug.

Then later in his career, he can go to the Knicks and ruin them.

During my trip to Cali last month I actually watched a Kings game in Sacramento, and I must say this guy REALLY impressed me. Just like Love will get a few votes for MVP, so will isiah. But ROY is already locked in for Kyre no question about that.

But what's up with the HP pavilion arena guys??? It's in terrible shape and service is pathetic.

The Knicks' fans hate him. Whenever he touched the ball when he played in MSG, everyone was booing.

Isaiah is a baller! The team is starting to take shape, I like the moves bringing smart back and Isaiah, cousins and evans is solid young core.. The magoofs own ARCO arena so all of the blame should fall on them.. I live in so cal currently and attended a game at arco last year and was amazed at the state of the arena.. Its depressing.. I mean they sold naming rights to the arena to a company that blatantly sells a product that does nothing.
