08:04 AM ET 04.03 | Bill Parcells, not long after cutting ties with the Dolphins, may wind up with options beyond New Orleans. Now that the Saints are considering bringing Parcells out of retirement once again to serve as interim head coach during Sean Payton's suspension, a league source tells PFT that the Saints aren't the only team that reached out to Parcells regarding a possible 2012 return. Though the total number and names of the teams isn't known, don't rule out the franchise currently owned by a guy who was a devout Giants fan during Parcells' heyday in New York. A guy who once chased Lawrence Taylor into a bathroom for an autograph. It's still not known whether the 70-year-old Parcells will get back into the game, or in what capacity.

Don't rule out? So this is completely conjecture here. I don't see Parcells coming out of retirement for anything than one last ride with a team already in contention for a Super Bowl run. Also only reason I think he would do it would be to help out his friend moreso than an itch to get back in the gamre.

I may be wrong. He did well enough in Cleveland (with the exception of getting past that Elway guy) but San Diego didn't showcase anything. I don't think he performed any better there than Norv has done.

I disagree. Yeah, Schotty got booted in that first playoff game with San Diego, but Norv is plain mediocre. What have they done in the playoffs with him as coach?
