Blazers fans have their scapegoat

08:10 AM ET 04.03 | It isn't easy being Raymond Felton these days. For the first turnover, there was fan No. 1. "He's the worst. Seriously. We gotta get rid of him," a Rose Garden attendee said while exiting the building. For the second turnover, there was fan No. 2. "I'm not going to renew next year if they don't get rid of him," said an elderly Trail Blazer devotee one aisle over. ... The consensus scapegoat for the Blazers' underachieving season before Monday's 102-97 loss to the Jazz, he somehow became even more loathed after two mishaps in the final 90 seconds of play. ... The boo birds flew down en masse when Felton's image was displayed on the jumbotron, and the Blazers would not score again.

I cant name more than 1 player on the team besides Aldridge, since they blew everyone away...Felton, Felton who?

Over reaction; I watched the game, Utah were down by double digits. Then they started going to their bigs exclusively, and took the lead.
Utah is just a much much better team right now. Nothing the Blazers or Felton could really have done.

Yup, me too. Glad they got Sessions. The turnover problem Felton has is too many apple-turnovers at McDonalds. Another Shawn Kemp-ish case.

Wow, what a difference a year makes for Felton, he was playing great in D'Antoni's system before being traded.

The Blazers have been ravaged by injuries for the last four seasons. After that what was left imploded. That's what has happened out here. And fans are happy that the team has blown up the team and started the rebuilding.

youre correct. there was an article here a few weeks ago. i went into detail about dantoni and his players. seems he is a terrific coach. the only player who played for dantoni who didnt improve as a player was....................... melo.
everyone says his "system" wont win a championship but its more a fact that he has taken sub-par teams with one good player to the edge of a championship contender. he was 5-1 in the western conference playoffs against everyone except the spurs. just didnt have the big man to take down duncan. but most teams have that problem.
felton was a perfect example. he thrived in d's system. he actually did well in denver since he went there with a few teammates from ny and had great chemistry with the nuggets players as well.
portland is a different story. more selfish team, more one-on-one play. no need to trash felton. he is only slightly above average. thats just his place, no shame in that. but except for aldredge and g-force, no one has really played well overall for portland for a while.
im in charlotte and i like silas but it would be so cool to get davis in the draft and have dantoni to coach the bobcats. we need some excitement and that would be a great combo start!
