Turco may have played his final NHL game

08:24 AM ET 04.03 | With the Bruins' recall of Anton Khudobin from the AHL, the crease in Boston may be too crowded for Marty Turco. The Bruins signed Turco to fill the void left by Tuukka Rask, who is recovering from a groin injury. The problem is that Turco isn't eligible to participate in the playoffs, so he could never be more than a short-term fix. Khudobin might start in Tuesday's game and then Tim Thomas will probably play on Thursday and Saturday as the Bruins get ready for the postseason. That means that Turco has probably played between the pipes with the Boston Bruins for the last time this season. He might try to extend his NHL career further, but he'll turn 37 on Aug. 13 and his tenure with Boston produced mixed results.

Adios Bro... thanks for the memories.

Marty...we hardly knew ye.

Maybe he could be the White House liason for the Bruins?

2-1 in three starts, one relief appearance, 3.28 GAA. Pretty much what was expected when they signed him, maybe better than expected. He got Thomas a couple of days off, which is more valuable than anything else he did.

Annnd of course today's news wouldn't be complete without an update on everybody's favourite, non-playoff eligible, mediocre, past-his-prime-by-a-mile goalkeeper!

When he signed with Boston, he pretended he was signing with the Leafs. He knows that the Leaf's season ends in early April

Those suckers were quite distracting in high-def.

A tad testy already and it's early. I'm still celebrating our playoff clinching win against...oh, wait a minute....maybe that's next year?

I saw him on the bench against the NYR, and the gloves over the boards were bad enough. I can't imagine the whole get up...

Followed three spots later by yet another story about an irrelevant, non-playoff and less than mediocre team.

Marty-- you got to live a life many only dream of. If this is the end, walk away and please do not join the Nordic Consortium of "will I return or wont I"....or if you do, you gotta get a great picture like our beloved Flaming Selanne one.

Turco did his job. Gave Thomas a few games to rest, didn't hurt the B's playoff seeding. Job well done, collect your well earned paycheck.

He's on his anti-Leaf best.

Because obviously living in the centre of the hockey universe I haven't had to hear that team be analyzed, chewed out, spat out, run over, evapourated, reincarnated, then assaulted viciously with a crowbar, left for dead, chewed up by dead animals who then excrete the remains into a woodchipper with the barrel aimed into a volcano.

Nope, nobody discusses their mediocrity here. We're more of an NBA town...

Because the first thing a Leaf fan who just witnessed his team crash spectacularly wants to see every day is a story about how they crashed spectacularly and why. Every day.

Did the Boston kids get wedgies last night or something? Yikes.
