Anthony Davis, Bobcats savior?

08:10 AM ET 04.04 | Though there's a better chance the Bobcats don't win the draft lottery, Michael Jordan can dare to dream. As of Tuesday, the Bobcats were five games worse in the win column than anyone else, and the regular season ends this month. But even with the worst record, Charlotte has only a 1-in-4 chance of getting the first pick -- which is absolutely going to be Davis, which is why he'd be foolish not to come out -- when the NBA draft lottery is conducted May 30. The Bobcats, in other words, have a 75 percent of not getting Davis. ... At No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4, the Bobcats can still get a very good player. But there's no one else like Davis in this draft.

I'll repost what I posted on the other Anthony Davis article...If Cleveland lands this guy, they will have two top-tier draft picks in Irving and Davis. They had better stop crying about Lebron, crying about other teams trading for stars, and tanking for any more picks. They will have no more excuses after that point, and they should start contending for the first time post-Lebron.

umm... the cavs fans dont care about Lebron... but yes the Cavs could use him too.

So 20% of a starting lineup can make that much of a difference? And all this time, I thought this was a team sport.

I think Davis will be a very good pro that could be just as good without the basketball as with it. He has the chance to be a true hybrid player capable of guarding the 2, 3, the 4 maybe the 5 eventually as there are very few dominant centers. He is a guard so he has adeqaute handling. I see him as the following not saying he will have everything they do but I project his talent as:

1. "Good" Lamar Odom with better defense, athleticism.
2. Durant minus proven outside shot but with better defense.
3. Andre Iguodala with better shot blocking.

There are others I could have mentioned but there are not many players that are his size and can put the ball on the floor and score off the dribble. His best bet is to go to a team without an established 3 or 4 and let him play either position.

New Orleans will get the 1st pick because the NBA owns the Hornets and needs to sell its valued assets (Davis) to get potential buyers.

Nothing can save the Bobkittens. They should be the first team to go in a league retraction.

What do you expect with two dookies as the boocats leading scorers? Davis isn't big enough to save any franchise. Get him out of the paint, he's just an avg. big. Even Dwight is limited offensively b/c he doesn't have any range out of the middle. Davis will get pushed around in the nba.

Bobcats to Seattle, and with a new nickname, please.

So long as Stern does not have Bettman as a mentor, I can hope that you are wrong about this!

LB also believes that we still play the game without a shot clock

jgb, does LB = Larry Brown or LeBron in this case??

Bobcats have a lot of holes to fill, especially in regards to scoring, but Davis paired with Biyombo would be a two man wrecking crew in the paint.
