Richardson's best fit?

08:04 AM ET 04.05 | Perhaps the very idea will settle LeGarrette Blount. Look at every mock draft these days and they all start the same: Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Matt Kalil. The first mystery pick of this year's draft belongs to the Cleveland Browns, even though there should be no doubts at all. The Browns have to take Alabama running back Trent Richardson with the fourth overall pick. Richardson is the best player available, and the Browns need a running back. ... The Browns made the right move by aggressively trying to trade up in the draft to get RG3. After failing to do so, Cleveland must turn its attention to the only player left who can become the immediate centerpiece of a moribund offense.

Poor Joe Thomas. When you keep your QB upright for so long and he still finds a way to get sacked, it's time for immediate change.

TR is good but not worth the 4th pick overall.

A strong running game may help McCoy stay healthy and be more productive.

No running back is worth a 4th pick overall. And Richardson's no Adrian Peterson. Build up your o-line and leave the runningbacks to the third and fourth round.

A Strong Offensive Line would help McCoy stay healthy and be more productive. A strong running game starts with the line. Fix that first and then look for a running back.

Agree. Better to get another position strong and get a solid RB later.

I'm not suggesting they pick Richardson at #4. I'm just saying that McCoy needs more weapons to work with. Good RB's can be found in the second and third round in most drafts.

I'm hopeful that the Browns do not take Richardson at #4 - and not for any reason which favors or opposes Cleveland. I just want to see if LeGarrette Blount's head can actually explode in the 12 minutes or less that Tampa Bay is on the clock with Richardson available.
